| We are purveyors of 18th and 19th Century merchandise. Our goods include wool blankets, beads, ironwork, powder horns, tinware, quillwork and more. Many of these items are handmade by either Allen or Colleen. Allen started Turkey Foot Trading Company and Forge over 30 years ago and Colleen joined him a few years later. Their Children Jacob and Sarah have worked in the family business since they could walk. Allen is a blacksmith and has apprenticed at Ohio Village and Williamsburg. The blacksmithing orders keep him pretty busy and he can be found out in the blacksmith shop quite a bit. He can get a little behind on the iron work orders because of hot weather or being gone to a show. He does the packing and shipping of the vast majority your orders. Colleen tries to maintain the website and keep it and the sales brochure up to date on items and prices. She does Porcupine Quillwork, brain tans deer hides, works at making the glass pens and makes all the soap, salves and lotion bars. She also makes handmade thimbles and glass beads that she sells all over the world. (Check out her links on the Handmade Glass bead and Thimbles pages.) Sarah is currently attending Moberly Community College working towards a teaching degree. Jacob has returned from his mission in the Seattle, Washington area. He will start classes in January. We travel to about 7 French and Indian War or Revolutionary War events a year, setting up our tent and offering our wares for sale. We hope you will enjoy our web site! |

| Remember, many of the items we offer for sale are Handmade one at a time by either Allen or Colleen. Although we try to keep things in stock, when we go to shows, we do get behind on some of the orders. We ask that you please be patient with us and order early if possible so we have time to complete your order. Thank you for your understanding. |
